Fake vegan couple gets prison over baby's death

The news reports all seem to say the same thing:

A vegan couple were sentenced Wednesday to life in prison for the death of their malnourished 6-week-old boy, who was fed a diet largely consisting of soy milk and apple juice.

Don't you wish the news actually have some real journalists? What is 'largely consisting of soy milk and apple juice"? What they leave out is that they included cod liver oil. Now excuse me, but to my knowledge, cod liver oil comes from a fish, and fish are not consumed by vegans, much less vegetarians.
