Proposition 2 has WON!!!
In a few years, cows, chickens, pigs will have to be in a cage with room for them to be able to turn around in. How sad a law has to be written for simple dignity to be given to them. And how sad that many millions of them won't live to see such conditions take effect.

Colin Powell is not an abnormality. Many Republicans are swayed over by Barack Obama.

But look at the charts on the left. Obama has twice the support than McCain from Health Care Industry. Obama beat McCain in the Banking and Real Estate business contributions. And Obama outranks McCain in the 'misc business'. I guess business do not mind the higher taxes under Obama. The reason is clear: the money goes to consumers who in turn will spend it on those companies. That is the way to grow the economy.

Next tuesday is an important day, not just for the Presidential race, but some interesting laws will be voted on in California. One such law could greatly improve conditions for farm animals. Proposition 2 will make it mandatory that animals can have enough room in their cage to turn around and to be able to stretch. Michael Savage spent an hour on his radio show today devoted to this subject. He is in favour of it. Not particularly shocking, but its nice to see. I only agree with him on about 3-5% of things, and he did get his jab in today saying how vegetarians are all wrong and unhealthy, but I can forgive him for that. Its not about me or people like me. If he can influence some of his audience to vote yes on Prop 2, I'm all for that.

BTW, what's the deal with calling Obama a socialist for his tax plan? Was Robin Hood a marxist? How about Jesus Christ? Both were far more radical than the ideas presented by Obama. Just another last attempt to smear a good guy a week before the election.
